Hoka Mach 5 Running Shoes

Learn to fly. Everyday. The lovechild of Mach 4 and Mach Supersonic, this lively pavement pounder is built for performance and ready to race. Sporting a stripped back creel mesh upper and flat-lay tongue, the new Mach 5 delivers a snappier ride with ProFly's stacked midsole setup, offering a lightweight, responsive foam directly underfoot and rubberised EVA below.

Creel Jacquard Engineered Mesh Upper

Constructed with single layer creel mesh material, the Hoka Mach 5 has a reduced weight that still works to keep your feet feeling fresh, no matter the tempo. The creel jacquard engineered mesh upper offers a secure fit that hugs the foot for optimum comfort, flexibility and breathability. By allowing cool air to flow throughout the upper, the Mach removes an uncomfortable heat build-up to ensure a healthy environment for the feet to thrive in. Striking the perfect balance between support and flexibility the engineered upper allows the foot to flex naturally whilst still providing a snug and comfortable fit. A lay-flat gusseted tongue construction is designed to further improve the fit to provide you with all-day comfort. An articulated heel collar construction has been designed to ensure a more dialled-in fit that keeps you feeling secure and comfortable when you hit the road running. Completing the upper is a lacing system that locks down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

ProFly+ Midsole

With a ProFly+ midsole construction, the Mach 5 combines the maximal cushion of the Hoka original road and trail models with the dual-density ProFly "intelligent cushioning" experience. This ensures shock attention for less stress and strain and provides directed rebounds, utilising the power of your last step to power you into your next one for reduced fatigue and a faster run. As well as this, an early-stage Meta-Rocker geometry is applied in the midsole to increase running efficiency. Meta-Rocker midsole geometry is specifically designed with a low heel-toe differential and a sculpted outsole to create a unique fulcrum effect, like a rocking chair to encourage a guided gait cycle. This design supports a runner's natural form while promoting an efficient, smooth roll from initial impact to toe-off. A moulded EVA sockliner also features to add extra comfort to the overall shoe. This combination ensures a more resilient midsole that is tuned for an energised ride.

Rubberised EVA Outsole

A flexible and durable outsole completes the Mach 5. Rubberised EVA foam is used to enhance responsiveness, increase traction and ensure high rebound cushioning. The foam outsole ensures lightweight responsiveness so you can go further for longer with a shoe you can truly rely on. The durable rubber outsole will keep you in firm control across a wide range of different terrain over a long period of time. Forming a solid bond with the ground, the outsole will anchor you into place, keeping you in a strong and controlled position. The Mach's sole also helps to eliminate excess rubber on the outsole which in turn reduces overall weight.

Who Are HOKA One One

Hoka One One is the brainchild of two gravity sports enthusiasts Jean-Luc Diard and Nicolas Mermoud. Both men have been adventuring for as long as they can remember, and their trail running experiences have taken them across the globe. Both Jean-Luc and Nicolas are committed to the values of freedom and enjoyment and feel that this is part of the running experience whether running on the trail or in the city. With this in mind they started to look at the variables that affected the performance of different types of runners. They quickly came to an important conclusion; fatigue, impacts and muscle strains were challenges that runners of all stripes had to deal with every day. So Jean-Luc and Nicolas came up with a brilliant idea, why not design a shoe that would help to alleviate these problems - so that freedom and enjoyment could be guaranteed every time you go running! From that idea Hoka One One was born. The word Hoka is derived from the ancient Maori language and roughly translated to "now it is time to fly". That's just how it feels to run in a pair of Hoka One One shoes; with each and every step, your foot flies. Today's runners from around the world are learning about the benefits of Hoka One One, they have been used by marathon winners. 50 miles, 100 miles and even 2000+ miles ultra-runners as well as runners just like you or I, who want to enjoy running, perform at their peak and feel that important sense of freedom whilst maintaining top physical performance and protecting against shocks, jolts and injuries. So put your best foot forward, it's time to fly!
